Capri is an idyllic island in Italy’s Bay of Naples. It’s known for its rocky but stunning landscape, panoramic views, juicy lemons and Blue Grotto. In fact, this dreamy island surprises one with many grottoes, but there’s nothing as stunning as Blue Grotto with its electric blue water.
Capri is a famous day-trip destination. Italians have made the access to the island so easy – one can start his journey from Napoli, Sorrento and even from Amalfi. But due to the high number of tourists, the streets, which are quite narrow anyway, are super busy with shopaholics, running kids and daydreamers. So I personally enjoyed more walking around in the evenings, after the big cruise ships had left.
During one’s visit there, even if just for a day, one needs to take time to wander around these narrow streets, snap some photos on the Piazza Umberto I, take a funicular to the top of Monte Solaro and end the day with a sip of fresh and apparently the best limoncello in the country.
